Hopefully, all istallation work goes on as planned, allthough the snow.

This mail for confirming the tomorrow meeting, for giving you meteo forecast, and a list of used chenmical and meteo forecast sites.

Could each PI please send the final list of deployed instruments to Valerie Gros (valerie.gros@lsce.ipsl.fr) for LHVP and to Jean Sciare for SIRTA (jean.sciare@lsce.ipsl.fr), or to me for other sites, if you are not present yourself. In this way, we will be able to have an exact overview over all instruments that will be running.

METEO + CHEM FORECAST


Forecast for the period Wednesday 13/1 to Tuesday 18/1

From Meteo France by default, in brackets (from GSF) The weather in the next days is influenced by a low pressure system over Island, a low pressure system moving eastwards from Spain to Genoa (inducing variable winds over France, and a ridge of high pressure which can be form between the East European high and the Azore high. Temperature will become warmer, rain on Thursday and the weekend.

=> low to medium pollution levels due to precipitation, but light winds, no particular prospects for high pollution periods.

Wednesday 13/1 :
T max 2-4°C , no more precipitation, partially sunny Light winds (10 km/h) from S to SE
Surface PM2.5 ~ <40 µg/m3, low urban - rural gradient (still continental influence)

Thursday 14/1 :
T max 2-4°C, cloudy - rain Light surface winds (10 km/h) from SE, E in the morning and afternoon, turning to N during the night
Surface PM2.5 ~ <20 µg/m3, low regional background

Friday 15/1 :
T max 1-4°C, partially sunny to cloudy Light surface winds (10 km/h) from NW to SW (wind has turned by 270° during last day !)
Surface PM2.5 ~ <40 µg/m3, low regional background
- no aircraft flight, since aircraft needs to be transfered to Paris yet
- possibility for plume measurements in NE to E sector


Saturday 16/1 :
T max 1-4°C, cloudy, rain Moderately strong surface winds (20 km/h) from SE

Sunday 17/1 :
T max 4-7°C, partially sunny or rain (GSF)
Very light surface winds (5 km/h) from W

Monday 18/1 :
T max 2-3°C, cloudy or some precipitation (GSF)
Light surface winds (10 km/h) from E (GSF says N)
